Bucovina - Country of beech, offers travelers views of rare beauty and great churches founded by princes and landowners, whose paintings are a delight. After the year 1530 15-16 centuries monasteries were exterior decorated with famous frescoes with unique colors such as: blue Voronet, red of Humor, green from the Sucevita and yellow from the Moldovita. Frescoes, architecture, beautiful landscapes and popular artistic creation contributed to distinction award "Golden Apple" Bucovina by the International Federation of Journalists and Writers of Tourism and heritage of Bucovina joining UNESCO catalog - "Great monuments of the world."
Day 1: Arrival in Bucuresti
Arrival to Bucharest. Transfer to a 4* hotel, centrally located.
Day 2 : Bucuresti – Monasteries Agapia – Varatec -Gura Humorului
Breakfast. Departure Suceava. On the way, visit Neamt Fortress, one of the monuments of exceptional value in Romania, was meant to defend the western border of Moldova and pasages in the Carpathian Mountains and monasteries Agapia, Varatec, Neamt Mountains. Arrival to Gura Humorului . Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3: Suceava - Monasteries Humor - Voronet
Breakfast. Visit to Fortress of Suceava, built in the 14th century, is part of the fortification system constructed in Moldova at the end of the 14th century, when the Ottoman threat occurrence. Visit to the Monastery of St. John the New (1514) - houses the relics of Saint John the New.
After lunch, go to Gura Humorului where we visit Voronet Monastery (1488) - one of the most valuable foundations of Moldavian prince Stephen the Great, built in only four months and a half and Humor Monastery (1530). Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 : Ciocanesti - Monasteries Moldovita – Sucevita
Breakfast. Departure to Ciocanesti – a very special village, where old traditions in this part of the country are perfectly preserved . Then, visit Monasteries of Moldovita (1532) and Sucevita (1586). After lunch visit Marginea where is an old famous black pottery center.
Return to Gura Humorului. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 : Radauti - Monasteries Dragomirna and Putna
Breakfast. Departure to Arbore Monastery (1502) and Dragomirna Monastery (1602-1609) - with a special architectural value, due to the rigors of geometric refined and unusual proportions. Then go to Radauti and visit Bogdana Monastery (1359), built by the founder of the Moldovan feudal state - the first stone church in Moldova, preserved in its original form, unaltered to this day. After lunch, visit to Putna Monastery (1466) – build by the Moldavian ruler Stephen the Great and Chilia lui Daniil Sihastru, a famous confessor who advised on Stephen the Great to build Putna and Voronet Monasteries. Return to Gura Humorului.
Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 : Humor - Brasov
Breakfast. Departure to Brasov. On the way, visit to Sf. Ana Lake. Lunch.
Arrival to Brasov. Dinner and accommodation
Day 7: Departure to Bucuresti
Breakfast. City tour of Brasov, the most important medieval city. After lunch, departure to Bucharest.
Day 8 : Bucuresti
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
